Hey Y'all!
I'm here but I'll probably mostly just hang out - couldn't stand the thought of some of my favorites LB'ers taling without me getting to eavesdrop though!
I'm all for the candy idea - we used to be commissioned to bring See's Candy back from California when we lived out there - that's probably the best candy this side of the Atlantic, but still no comparison...

A false bottomed suitcase sounds like a fabulous idea. Actually, you should see the size of my suitcase for this trip. Since it is going to be cold, we have to take heavier clothes. M-Dot gracioulsy went out and bought me a suitcase large enough that I can actually fit in it! I reminded him that he will be the one carrying it up all of those flights of stairs in our hotels - thought I would give out my warning BEFORE we get there!
Searching for candy and treats will be fun! I like my assignment! Of course, there may be a little quality control sampling involved, but we should be able to bring back some goodies!!
Are we going to have some type of e-mail sign up sheet as to who is bringing what? You can never have too much candy, but maybe we don't want to all bring the same things? Or then again, maybe we do!! Is there a dentist among us? Wouldn't it be funny if they brought toothpaste and tooth brushes for after the event? :)

See's candy ROCKS!! They used to have stores in some of the malls in Houston and my mom would receive See's candy as Christmas presents from her students. My sister and I would eat it ALL! When we were in San Francisco for the marathon, we went to a See's candy store and spent $20 on goodies without blinking an eye! YUMMY!!
